Did you know that the Rio Grande Bosque is accessible through the River's Edge III Subdivision? There are improved trails, benches, a parking lot, and amazing views there. A portion of the improved area has trails lined with crushed rock. This portion is near the parking area and is perfect for walking or biking. I've even taken a stroller on it with no problem. My kids love to access the river to throw rocks in the water and play in the sand.
If you are feeling more adventurous, you can continue to an area with dirt trails that takes you above the trees for a stunning view of the river and mountains. I would suggest leaving the stroller behind for this walk. (but not the camera)
