Trip to California

We have had an exciting summer! We started by driving to California to visit Uncle Neil and Aunt Julie Carman and to go to Disney. On the drive, we stopped in Winslow, Arizona and visited the corner decorated to represent the song "Take it Easy" that is their only claim to fame. It was a fun way to get out of the car. The song was actually playing on a loudspeaker from the store next to the corner.

Then we went to Lake Havasu. The actual London Bridge was relocated to Lake Havasu. It is a gorgeous lake and we could have spent the entire week there.

Neil and Julie spoiled us rotten by taking us to the beach, to a street fair, playing with the kids and by feeding us. The kids immediately fell in love with Julie who read them stories and gave them squirt guns. Nathaniel was excited to find out that he was named after them. It was so nice to be able to visit places during the day and come home to family at night.
